About Moles or the Nevus
Increase in the density of the melanin pigment that gives the skin it’s colour, skin lesions with puffy nodules, are called moles. It is mostly seen in the face region. But it can be seen along with the arms ,legs, the back and even the intimate areas can be efected. The sun’s harmful UV rays are effective in the production of these Moles. Environmental factors also play an active role in this.
Treatment Of Moles
It is possible to remove Moles by surgical or laser treatment methods.
Laser treatment is suitable for small or dot-shaped Moles. After removing Moles with the Laser Procedure, the treatment leaves a brown flaky skin in the treated area. Within 3-5 days this flaky skin will clear and leave the skin in a pinky colour. In time, the pinky colour will also heal without leaving a mark. With bigger Moles, slight dimples may occur similar to chicken pox marks on the skin. Mole removal surgery’s are done at the Clinics under local anesthesia. Often, the Moles are removed by an elliptical incision then the area is sewn by thin suture. The sutures melt on their own. Afterward, a pink mark will form where the Mole has been removed and that too will heal and dissapear within months. If need occurs, the removed Moles can be sent to Pathological Examination.
What Is Mole Removal And Is It Harmful?
Most Moles are benign. Mostly it causes cosmetic problems. But over the years, as the skin is exposed to the sun’s rays for a long time, it is inevitable that Moles change their temperament. Overgrowth, wound formation on top of the Moles, bleeding, change of colour start to be seen. It is seen at serious levels in light-toned skins. For these reasons, removal of the Moles is necessary. By this way, the formation of ill-affected tumors can be prevented and aesthetic beauty is achived. So it is beneficial and healthy to have Moles removed.
The Healing Process After Mole Removal
The Mole removal is a very short process and does not require dressing. It does not effect the everyday life of the individual. After the process, flaking in the area for the next 3 days will continue and then the skin turns to pink. This pinky skin condition adapts to the rest of the skin colour and heals without a trace.
Can Mole Removing cause Cancer?
In todays society, there is a belief that has been around for a long time. As during the mole removal process, surgical equipment, like a fleem is used, it is believed that canser will spread because of it. However, if the Moles are not analysed and checked in time and the correct surgical procedure is not performed, it can cause serious health problems. If the procedure is not done correctly, cancer risk may occur. But this procedure should be done at the right place with the expert doctors who specialize in the field of Mole removal. The Moles that are affected by cancer can be benign or malignant. This will be determined after the process by Pathological Examination.
Note : The most important element in the operation of the Mole removal is not to leave any particles of the Mole behind. Utmost care should be given to this procedure.
