Mole Surgery (Nevus Excision)

The procedure applied to get rid of moles that occur in certain parts of the body is called mole removal or Nevus Excision with its scientific name.

About Mole or Nevus

Skin lesions in the form of puffy nodules on the skin are called moles due to the increase in the density of the melanin pigment that gives the skin its color.
It is mostly facial regionalization. However, it can be seen in the arms and back, legs and even intimate areas. The harmful UV rays of the sun are also effective in the formation and proliferation of moles. It plays an active role in environmental factors.

Treatment of moles

It is possible to get rid of moles with surgical or laser treatment methods.
Laser treatment is suitable for small or point shaped moles. After the procedure, a brown flaking is seen in the moles area taken with laser treatment. After 3 - 5 days, this flaking is poured and leaves its place to pinkness. The pinkness also passes over time and improves without leaving a trace.
In large moles, slight depressions similar to chickenpox scars can occur on the skin. Mole removal surgery is performed in clinics with local anesthesia. In most cases, moles are removed with an elliptical incision, then the area taken with thin threads is sutured. The stitches dissolve spontaneously.Then a light pink scar occurs in the relevant mole area,
Within months, this trace also becomes vague. If deemed necessary, moles can be sent for pathological examinations.

What is mole surgery and are there any harms?
